"The Husky Experience" dates back to 1995, when Luca's great passion for dog sledding led to the idea of creating a centre so that as many people as possible could experience this wonderful discipline. Today, our aim is to share everything we’ve learnt about working with dogs over the years, and to popularise this extraordinary activity.
The term "sled dogging" is used to describe the sport that you can practice with us: an exhilarating excursion in which you yourself will drive a sleigh pulled by purebred Nordic dogs.
Once you’ve gone through a short briefing, and you know everything there is to know about keeping safe on the snow, it will be time to get out there with the dogs. With an instructor at the lead, each of you will experience the incredible thrill of mushing with your own 3 or 4 dog sled team of Siberian Huskies.
The first thing we teach our students at the pre-excursion briefing is that the dogs are central to what we do; This means they not only deserve our full respect, but also a little help with the more demanding parts of the piste; Making people aware of this is the first real step towards understanding what dog sledding is about.
Sled dogging is not just a sport or pastime; Sled dogging is about passion for the Siberian Husky breed, and the desire to collaborate with this multi-talented animal and do some something really special together.
